Outreach

In addition to research, lab members also participate in science outreach, including performing science demonstrations at local public schools. Pictured on the left, 3rd grade students look at different light sources through diffraction grating glasses, and Prof. Daniel Prober demonstrates the extreme cold of liquid nitrogen.

Lab members are also involved in the annual New Haven Science Fair as both project mentors and judges. In the 2007 and 2008 fairs, lab-mentored high school student projects won physical science awards.
